The Office of Inspector General's (OIG) work planning process is dynamic and adjustments are made throughout the year to meet priorities and to anticipate and respond to emerging issues with the resources available. In order to enhance transparency around OIG's continuous work planning efforts, OIG will update its Work Plan website monthly. The OIG Work Plan sets forth various projects including OIG audits and evaluations that are underway or planned to be addressed during the fiscal year and beyond by OIG's Office of Audit Services and Office of Evaluation and Inspections. Projects listed in the Work Plan span the Department and include the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), public health agencies such as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and National Institutes of Health (NIH), and human resources agencies such as Administration for Children and Families (ACF) and the Administration on Community Living (ACL). OIG also plans work related to issues that cut across departmental programs, including State and local governments' use of Federal funds, as well as the functional areas of the Office of the Secretary of Health & Human Services (HHS). Some Work Plan items reflect work that is statutorily required.

OIG updates this dynamic, web-based Work Plan monthly to ensure that it more closely aligns with the work planning process. The monthly update includes the addition of newly initiated Work Plan items, which can be found on the Recently Added Items page. Beginning in January 2020, completed Work Plan items will remain in the active Work Plan for one month, after which they will be moved into the Archive. Recently completed reports can be found on OIG's What's New page. This web-based Work Plan will evolve as OIG continues to pursue complete, accurate, and timely public updates regarding our planned, ongoing, and published work.

Hybrid work is a flexible approach that combines working in an office environment and working from home. It allows employees to choose how and where they work, and offers autonomy to employees to design their working week in a way that works both for them and with company policies.
Employee flexibility is the foundation for this schedule, and it gives decision-making power to the hands of employees. This is the most common hybrid work policy in 2022, but also one of the hardest policies to plan for since there are no set requirements.
The hybrid manager-scheduling policy is the least common, according to our survey, with only 8% of companies going this route. In this work schedule, managers choose which day(s) their teams into the office. This schedule fosters high levels of productivity and collaboration. The main difference between the split-week and manager-scheduling is that in a split-week work schedule the company decides which onsite days employees come; whereas in a manager-scheduling plan, the manager decides.
The last hybrid work schedule, hybrid mix, is exactly what it sounds like: a mix of all three of the above. 25% of companies are using a mix and match method where some employees come in at-will, some teams have scheduled days onsite, and some are manager-scheduled. The primary benefit? All of them. With a hybrid mix, you can enjoy the flexibility, choice, and planning that exists in the other policies.
For example, do you have a desk booking software that can sync with the amount of desks you have? Do you have a way to see employee registration so you can have an accurate headcount? Do you have a way to pull the data you need to help with planning and forecasting? Evaluate your current workplace tools and identify if you need to upgrade or change any of them.
At a time when most of the big tech giants are waiting for their workers back to their offices after the pandemic is over and even now when the incidence of the disease has decreased dramatically, Facebook will allow all employees who can work outside the office, that is, from home, to do so after the coronavirus pandemic will end.
With the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic in 2020, Facebook, like other tech companies, moved to a remote work model. Back then, Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg said he expects the transition to work from home to be a long-term one. The company has also begun hiring workers who are capable of fulfilling their job responsibilities anywhere in the world where they live.
Tech giants rival Facebook such as Google and Apple recently released an updated list of working conditions during the pandemic, which states that workers should return to their jobs, that is, offices in the coming months. At the same time, the management of Facebook made a radically different statement. She informed all of her employees that anyone who can perform their job duties remotely can send a request to the company management about the opportunity to work remotely. Even founder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg said he plans to work from his own home until the second half of 2022. He previously stated that more than half of the company's employees, approximately 60,000 people, can work remotely for 10 years.
The work schedule of workers who have not been able to obtain permission to work remotely will be flexible enough. The company's management expects all employees to be on their campuses for about half of their entire working hours. The tech giant expects its offices to be 50% full by early September 2021. According to preliminary statements of the management of Facebook, the offices of the company will work at full capacity in October this year. Apple CEO Temir Cook wrote in a memo to all employees last week that in September 2021, all employees must be in the office at least three days a week. He noted that Wednesday and Friday are the days when workers are allowed to stay at home and do their work from there. But such a statement caused discontent among some workers, who began circulating a letter stating that the company's policy was wrong and had already led several employees to write letters of resignation.
Elevations provide scaled views of the exterior of the home. This is where we include information about the roof slope, ceiling heights, exterior finishes, and more topographical information. The roof slope will be listed as a ratio of the vertical rise over a horizontal run. In the home pictured above, the roof has a slope of 4:12, or 4 inches of rise for every horizontal 12 inches. Crucial information about materials and techniques for finishing the exterior will also be given. Overhangs will be indicated where appropriate. These pages will also have additional details about what is required for the house plan to meet applicable building codes.
The floor plans will include tons of information, and are shown as a horizontal cross section that will show all rooms, windows, and doors. Builders will be able to determine specifications for many materials, including framing components, cabinets and fixtures, doors, windows and much more. While some may choose to include separate framing sheets for floors and walls, this information is usually readily accessible via the floor plans. This is where the size of the individual rooms, location of windows, and location of things like fireplaces, appliances, kitchen islands, and plumbing fixtures will be shown. Floor plans will show all necessary information to make the sure the home meets fire life safety code (Currently the 2017 IRC). This is also the place where you will find information regarding exterior features like decks and garages.
The foundation plan is where you will find all of the critical information for the structural support features. The builder will be able to determine what type and what width of foundation wall is to be used, as well as locate and determine the size of the footings. Additional concrete features will be indicated where necessary. As you can see in the plan above, any additional information will given through very detailed notes regarding footings, point loads, construction techniques, and more.
These will provide accurate, detailed information about the structural members used to frame the roof. It will allow the builder to determine the number and size of the necessary structural members as well as the location. The roof framing plans will show information about the size and spacing of the rafters. Overhangs, venting and connectors will also be found here.
Section views will provide very specific information regarding various construction and design features. Shown above, you will see a few examples representative of a detailed section view. You will notice larger cross section views of the home as well as smaller, more focused drawings of features like walls and stairs. Sometimes designers will display these sections as simple outline drawings and do not include key details. Remember, the function of a set of working drawings should be to provide everything needed to keep the building to code as well as everything needed to maintain the architectural integrity of the home. It is critical that these drawings show good structural detail and include detailed, specific notes.
